Thanks Xunshu. So if I understand it correctly, the left part of the picture is what the game supplies to SteamVR. So in timeframe 1 that's both L1 and R1. And then the right part is what the pimax renderer sends to the HMD (only L1).
But this still means the game renders both the left and right eye and the pimax renderer just discards R1. This seems highly inefficient ? The only thing you 'gain' in time is the distortion render part for R2, but at the cost of having the game render half of the screen which you don't use.
In fact, I must misunderstand this, because this would mean that the game renders both L1 and L2 at 120 hz !!?! This would make no sense.
Can you explain please ?
I think the only way that makes sense to see this picture is that the left is the 'normal' situation and the right part is the brainwarp situation. But that would mean the game would need to support this, I highly doubt any games support this ?
I'm confused ...
