The average consumer is very wary of kickstarter these days and what's more, the pimax 4k received mixed reviews within the VR community. Their image needs some serious work here in the states, it is not incredible. Perhaps in China, there will be plenty of supporters but if they are counting on heavy American support I think they may have trouble. I mean have you guys looked at the pimax vr website? It's the kind of stuff that the cheapest of cheap web designers make. It's literally just a stock template with some stock effects on a few pictures and it's everywhere savvy consumers like the kind interested in high end vr will be very wary. I mean personally, when I went to gearbest and then the pimax vr website I was almost entirely convinced the whole thing was a scam. If I was not so thorough, I could have easily looked over it and it took me a long time of researching to really come to trust and respect Pimax. If my experience is any indication of how other consumers will feel I am seriously worried about the future of Pimax 8k, even if the product sells itself that isn't enough these days. There are plenty of great products, discontinued after a short failed stint in production purely because they couldn't or didn't invest enough in marketing or their competition invested more with even a drastically inferior product. I honestly don't know what the situation is with this company but after several days of very little sleep pouring over every review of their products I could find and every press release about them, I am very interested in learning and supporting as much as possible.
