Well Kinect V2 certainly works with Driver4VR, but I'm not sure if it will be enough to produce good body tracking. So far my results have been in conclusive.
I can move around SteamVR Home room a little bit, but it's hard to get it to be reliable.
I have even ended up under the floor.
It is promising though and if I can somehow set it up properly it may be ok.
It's interesting to play with but I think something needs a bit more work.
For example, I don't know what settings to change. Should I do a SteamVR room calibration?
There don't seen to be any setting to change anywhere that make any difference.
And even if I do get it to work properly, what am I going to do with it?
I'm not really interested in moving around with Pimax and the games I play don't require it.
I'll keep fiddling with it for a bit longer, but I don't think that it will replace Nolo anytime soon unless someone does some more work on the software to support it specifically.
I'll let you know if anything changes though.
And yes, you will need to but the PC interface kit for it from Microsoft Store or somewhere else. It cost me more than the unit itself so maybe that money may be better spent on a Nolo?
