I would love to have a VR room or a VR safe space harness with unlimited movement capability But many of us mortals can not afford a luxury such as an empty spare room. In the UK it is even worse as the average terraced house here have 12 foot x 12 foot rooms and cost rather a lot the more rooms you add.
My partner gets fully immersive in VR and is lethal. I have to build a barricade to stop our dog wandering into the VR space where anybody is having fun leaping about. So far she has punched the wall 4 or 5 times, she has brought her hand down really hard on the top of my head playing Beat Saber, she has jumped into my desk etc. Now we have weekends where we set it up in the garage (minus the car) so she can move without fear.
I was in a popular high street store called John Lewis not long back and they had a VR demo set in the middle of the aisle near the TV's with a 3 foot space!. This older man was playing something and I kid you not he nearly punched 3 random people walking past. They ducked or shot backwards with angry faces but when they realized the guy couldn't see they just walked off, no doubt a little embarrassed lol.
Aye, When VR is more mainstream we will hear some scare stories like "Woman sues HTC because she knocked toddler's teeth out" or "I tripped over the dog and crushed my cat"
