Hey Walter you night be able to download piplay on the PiMaxVR website.
Hi, usually you may download it from Mega link directly without registration. Maybe you can try to use another browser or click our website: https://www.pimaxvr.com/en/piplay/
Any news on the release date? Its been well over a month, and I'll be gone after the new year and will have to put Vr on hold for, well, many many moons. Hopefully the patch come out this month!
Hi, we plan to release the further version tomorrow. Please be advised.
This will be good New Year present
Sounds good! Thank you!
Piplay says there is an update, it fails because it tries to download a file that does not exist:http://piplay-us.pimaxvr.com/PiPlay_Setup_Upgrade_220.127.116.11.exefacepalm
You are kindly requested to duplicate the place where you can download the new drivers since the second time piplay is not updated.
I found a link to the old version of the driver in the chinese Forum (google translate)I Noticed the download link has a different host, so I guessed the URL for the new driver with the filename I found before.
I don't know yet if it's woth it, but at least you can download it now with these links.
@Pimax: just one question: WTF!?
Uh... setup upgrade?
@Pimax-Support, can we get some clarity soon, the anticipation and confusion is too much.
I'll try them out and see what happens.
You don't need both. When you have the previous version of Piplay installed you can download the Upgrade instead of the full package (smaller file size). The result should be the same with both files.
Gotcha, you saved me five minutes of wasted downloading, thanks!
After first start it shows a changelog:1) horizontal calibration2) Added the guidance for using Nolo Suite, one key to switch between 180 / 360 degree...3) Addded the usage limitation of minimum firmware version
about 2) Except the changelog itself there is absolutely nothing regarding Nolo. I wonder where this is hidden.
Odd, I didn't get a changelog at launch.
For me it still shows that there is an update to 18.104.22.168 is available while it also shows that this is the version that is already installed. Is it the same for you? Piplay > settings > general > check versionIt also shows these changelogs there again.
Well, does the Nolo 360 option work?
About to test it cmm, one moment...
@Fabian, it says the version is changed, but no changelogs there.
Okay, so when hooking the nolo device op, a new option under the base station is "Switch Solution". You can pick a 360 or 180 setup here.
thank you, found the nolo switch, will test it now.
Nolo 360/ceiling mount did not work in my first try. Tracking is completely wrong, maybe it's still in 180° mode while the base station is being mounted to the ceiling, but Piplay shows current positional solution "360°"
Hmm, I dot it to work. Perhaps you have the base station facing the wrong way? Let me do some tests, I'll edit this to show results.
