Yes all kids want to open their presents before Christmas. But sometimes the better gift comes after a wait; ie Boxing day sale.
What’s the progress on the refresh rate of the displays?
i guarantee you if they had licked that it would have a topic of its own.
more like two. end of jan is still jan
Quality first. Take the time needed to make it perfect.
I will be amazed if either of those dates are hit.
Cloth = sweat magnet and bacteria haven. I'd rather this be something sweat resistant and easily cleaned with a wipe.
Very true aneurism. I think cloth has no place inside a vr headset
Yeah Oculus taught us that one.
I do not know how to argue that quality is priority over the delivery date
But ... it was hard or difficult to keep informed? I think not
we only ask to be well informed periodically
The Vive foam is a nice compromise I think. Easy to clean, soft and absorbent so it moves the sweat away from your brow.
Speaking of sweat, there are waterproof nano coatings for electronics, which could be beneficial for VR headsets to prevent liquid damage.Has that been considered for Pimax 8k? @matthew.xu
call me spoiled, but i was expecting a more in depth status review...
The cloth in my Rift fuzzed up on the nose bridge within a few months and gave me the urge to sneeze every time I used it. Hope the fabric they use is more resistant to peeling
Not the foam as its removable already. The v2 has cloth lined inside the headset atound the lens area similar to the rift.
The gentleman who provides vr experiences to terminally ill; hospital requires all cloth materials to be removed including elastic bands etc. So only wipable plastic.
Hi @matthew.xu - can you please share with us the IPD range we are able to set on the headset now
Yes, our next plan will update the video of the v4 prototype. Thanks
The software aspect needs to continue to debug and optimize, and we will continue to update the project progress. Thanks
Yes, the "cloth" material can be replaced and removed, but you need to use tools similar to screwdrivers. Thanks
Yes, FPS remains our most important focus. We're still doing a lot of testing and debugging, but that still takes some time. If we have a new breakthrough, we will update it to you. Thank you
