Take the time to make this as perfect as possible, please. Every Kickstarter I have backed (which met its goal) has shipped what I ordered as described. Several were very late (one was a year late), but made good on the promises they made. I'm so glad they kept at it until the products were complete.
Is 90Hz at lower rez vs 80Hz at higher rez a better experience? I think I'd rather have clarity. On the Vive, I can't see 'far' enough compared to a regular monitor because the resolution just isn't there. I'd prefer to see farther with a decent frame rate than not-as-far with a slightly faster frame rate unless that lower frame rate is pretty awful to deal with.
Also, if the 8K isn't going to quite live up to the specs originally described, I'd like the chance to upgrade to 8K X if it will. I know there was a limit on quantity, which was reached. I'm just saying. Or options of some other kind would be welcome, like waiting for an updated chip with the clock speed that can comfortably handle the original spec - a true DP1.4 chip maybe. If one is planned by the chip manufacturer for 6 months later, I'd wait.
