So surprisingly small performance increases in a lot of games when drastically reducing the rendering requirements going from the 5K+ with the same settings to the O+ with it’s smaller FoV and lower res (with a 1070). Some games did see a jump, but many were essentially the same. Probably really demonstrates how much work most of the devs doing VR need to work on optimization, because the bottlenecks and performance problems aren’t fixed by reducing demands on the system.
To be accurate, he is not comparing the O+, but the regular O.

Interesting. Unless the panel size and/or panel utilization is different, they should have the same FPS on Odyssey and Odyssey+ because the resolution didn’t change.
